Well, it's looking like a crazy end to an even crazier year, and I can't believe we're almost celebrating Christmas. That said, I'm incredibly grateful that Mont has seen so much support through this period and managed to grow, so if you have bought a bottle or two, thank you from the bottom of my wine-soaked heart.

If you haven't heard the exciting news, our Pinot gris, Syrah and Pinot Noir are now being stocked by Blackhearts & Sparrows in their Melbourne stores. Sales seem to be going really well, particularly of the Pinot Noir, so be sure to drop in and grab a bottle or two if you're living locally. With businesses opening up after lockdown, our wines are becoming available at venues like the MC Showroom too, which is just off Chapel St. It's a lovely little theatre that puts on a bunch of plays, performances and cabaret shows in its 100-seat space, and I'm really happy that they're up and running. They're good mates and stocking a few of my wines, so get over there and support them if you can!

Jen and I are looking forward to a bit of break over the Christmas period, and spending time with my sister and her family, but it's action stations in the new year. In January, I'll be heading out to the Pyrenees to taste our new Sangiovese and Shiraz, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how they've turned out. We'll bottle those then throw a couple of launch parties – one north of the Yarra, and one south – before heading back to the Pyrenees in February to get into some grape picking for our 2021 wines. We'll also have some fruit from the Mornington Peninsula for the new vintage of Pinot Noir, so there's a lot happening and even more to look forward to.

That's about it from us for 2020. Like I said, we're going to be making the most of a few days off next week, but we can't wait to throw a couple of parties in the new year. Until then, be sure to keep an eye out for Mont at Blackhearts and the MC Showroom. Oh, and if you're looking for some Christmas inspiration, I've been working in collaboration with Gavin from Another Food Blogger to pair some Christmas recipes with my wines – you can find them on the Mont blog.

Anyway, I hope it's a very merry Christmas for everyone and all the best to your friends and family. We'll catch you in the New Year!

Cheers,

Monty.
